Nothing New...

Over the past few days, I've been thinking...I really need to update my blog, but strangely enough, I don't have a lot to talk about! This past week hasn't been to full of events. We've had three birthdays it the past week, Happy Birthday Jason, Margaret Clay, and Greyson! We actually traveled to Birmingham yesterday for Margaret Clay's birthday party. (my niece) It was a lot of fun to see everyone and the girls had so much fun chasing each other around. I've added some pictures from the party below.

Although I posted a video of Aubrey walking...she must have known that we were wanting her to walk because she stopped! This week she is actually walking everywhere and is so proud of herself. As if she needed help, she now really thinks that she's big stuff!

Caroline continues to crack us up with her vocabulary. We came home from Jason's birthday party last weekend and Brian asked her if she brought him any cake home. She looked at him so seriously and said, "Daddy, you had to have been there....we certainly didn't bring you any!" She is growing up so fast and is really amazing me at how much she can learn. Papa was showing her a stop sign the other day and she said, "Papa, that's also an octagon." Thank you Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She wrote her name this week and counted to 100. It amazes me how much children just want to learn.

Baseball wraps up this week and I was so hoping for a postseason turnaround for the Braves. It doesn't look good, but mathematically we are not out of it yet. I love the fall, but it also means the end of my favorite sport....I'm not going to lie, there may be tears shed next weekend when it comes to a close.

Baby number three is baking away. I have to say this pregnancy has not been as wonderfully easy as Caroline and Aubrey. I wish I could say that means it's a boy, but I've heard so many people say that each of their pregnancies were different, but same gender, so I'm not holding my breath! I'm feeling ok, just nauseous in the afternoon and at night. I'm hoping it will end after the first trimester, but only time will tell!

I have posted some random pictures below, just a few of my favorites from the past week...Enjoy!! I hope everyone has a great week!!!

Margaret busting into her birthday cake.

The aftermath.

Aubrey kept putting this bracelet on, but she continued to hold up her wrist so that it wouldn't fall off....it was pretty funny!

Aubrey has found a new hiding place...I do believe she is waiting for someone to drop some scraps to her!

Apple Pickin'

This past weekend, Brian and I took the girls to Mercier's Orchard up in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Mercier's is where the Dwarf Houses get their fried pies, so Brian suggested that we go there because he's been there many times. I was somewhat hesitant because of the 2 hour drive, but I have to admit, it was more than worth it! The girls did great in the car. Caroline read the whole way there and back, and Aubrey slept much of the way there and talked the whole way back! When we got there we first wentin to lookaround and of course we were drawn in to the bakery section! They had every type of fried pie you could imagine: strawberry and cream, apple, peach, pear, custard, chocolate, dried apple, blackberry, blueberry, apple cranberry pecan, cherry, sweet potato, and the list goes on and on. After we tore Caroline (and Brian) away from the bakery, we bought our bag for apple picking. In order to get to the orchards, you get to ride in a wagon pulled by a tractor. Caroline thought this was really cool, Aubrey wasn't so sure about it! The apple orchards were amazing! There were so many it was unbelievable! All of them were labeled with the type of apples. On the ride to the orchards, the "tour guide" told us all about the apples and which were at the peak season. We ended up getting the Jonagold apples. While we were picking, we ate apples and had a great time!! When we were finished filling our bag, we went back to the store tofind goodies! We found all kinds of amazing things! We got all types of preserves, apple cider that it unlike any I've ever had, a blackberry mustard dip for pretzels, amazing apple bread, apple fritters, and of course we each got a fried pie! Brian stuck with the apple, I got the strawberry and cream cheese, Caroline chose a lemon cream filled cookie, and of course Aubrey sampled the lot! The best part was that Brian told Caroline that she could eat her dessert before our picnic! She was beyond thrilled!! Overall, it was such a great experience, not only for the girls, but for me as well. I want to do so many more ofthese types of things so the girls can have these fun experiences to look back on. I've added some pictures below of our day! Enjoy!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Although our lives have changed so much since my last post, I'm struggling for content. I was feeling the need to post, but looking for material. This past weekend, Labor Day weekend, was great. We spent the weekend at my parents house in Alabama. We spent Saturday at Smith Lake and enjoyed great food, family, and a nice boat ride. Caroline enjoyed the boat ride very much! She continually waved at other boaters passing by and yelled "Ahoy Matey" as they passed. We spent Sunday and Monday hanging out at my parents house with my sister and her husband and their daughter, Margaret Clay, better known as "MC" and my parents. There was much football/baseball watching Saturday evening and many gator rides on Sunday and Monday. Brian and Trent also took Caroline skeet shooting on Sunday afternoon, which she was thrilled about. It was a very nice relaxing weekend. I was also able to capture some great pictures of the girls which I've posted below. Hopefully, to some extent, it will be a material gathering week. I'm not asking for it, trust me, I just know my girls, and know that they will come through in the end! Enjoy the pictures!!
