Changing our Name

I was fairly proud of myself for the title of our blog....I thought it was creative, I thought it was unusual and I thought it described us fairly well...that is until we found out that it will no longer be three girls, a boy, and a dog, and no, I'm not talking about getting rid of the dog. We have baby number three on the way!! I'm sure this is a shock to you as it was to us :-) Brian and I found out last Tuesday that we are expecting this April. Obviously, we do not know the gender of the baby yet, although Caroline is hoping for a boy. I think Aubrey has given her a run for her money, so I think she's thinking a boy might be better!! We will keep you updated on things as they progress, but as for now, I think that's enough news for anyone to digest!!! By the way, we will be taking suggestions for new blog names!

Caroline Conquers the Diving Board

Ok, so since I have a blog and I do the writing, I do feel sometimes entitled to brag. This is my chance! This is my 3, almost 4, year old after having swimming lessons from an amazing teacher! Prior to these lessons, she could not, would not, and refused to swim, put her face in the water or anything other than playing. I am so proud of her and what she's done! Enjoy the video!!! Check back later in the week...I'll be posting soon :-)

Another Week of Firsts!

Who would have thought that blogging would actually teach me something? I'm learning that every week is a week of firsts, and since I'm blogging them, I'm catching them. I love it! Aubrey found Caroline's playball whistle and figured out how to work it. It was quite entertaining watching her blow into it, not to mention that she cracked herself up as well. I can't seem to get my video to upload, so I uploaded them to youtube and added the link. I'm still learning, what can I say?!

This week both Aubrey and Caroline took swimming lessons! I know, Aubrey too!! They girls did great! Aubrey laughed the first day, screamed the second day, and on the third day, got rings off the bottom of the pool! Yes, that's right, my brilliant :-) 15 month old, with a little help, got rings of the bottom of the pool!! I was hesitant about them telling me that Aubrey could learn to swim, but I am a believer now! Caroline has also blossomed! She began the week by screaming; however, now, she swims, jumps in, floats on her back and dives!!! She's also taking lessons next week, so she'll probably be doing a full flip or scuba diving at the end. The possibilities are endless!! I've posted two videos of Caroline. The first is one of her swimming to the bottom of the pool to get rings. The second is quite funny. If you know Caroline, you know she was terrified to put her head in the water, jump in, etc. So this is the first time Caroline jumped to Mrs. Jessica. Please know she was perfectly fine after this happened. She continued swimming and was laughing when she came up. And for the record, we did teach her how to properly jump.
