Chalk, Forks, and New Words

So keeping with the blogging thing, I took lots of pictures this week. Not that I really needed an excuse to take more pictures. This week was so hot that we had a difficult time getting outside; although we did make it outside to explore the wonderful world of sidewalk chalk. One afternoon while Aubrey was napping, Caroline and I ventured outside to "color" (I use the term loosely) Apparently, the heat didn't bother Caroline (notice I didn't say anything about it not bothering me) because she wanted to do chalk the rest of the week. So later in the week I sent Brian out to color with her. Below are some of the pictures that Caroline, Brian, and myself created. I even got a personal chalk message!!

Aubrey this week learned how to use a fork. Well, again I should say, loosely. Although, I did capture her using her fork, and proud of it!!

Although we are still waiting for Aubrey to take her first steps, she is talking up a storm and this week spoke the some of the sweetest words Brian and I could hear. While the Brabes (what Caroline calls them) were on. Aubrey pointed at the TV and
said "baseball". I nearly cried, and then of course ran and got my camera to capture the moment.
I guess that's about it. Not as eventful as last weeks ravioli; however, much neater. (except for the handprints of chalk on the door) I guess we will see what next week brings!!!

Why stay at home moms don't eat lunch...

So just when I'm deciding if I have enough material for a blog....Aubrey comes through! Since Brian was out of town, I decided a nice bowl of ravioli was in order. I had bible study later and I was in a rush getting things together for our babysitter to come and watch the girls for me. The girls had their food and crazy me thought I would fix me something before I left. I turned to fix me a sandwich and while I was making it, I heard a plate drop. Before I turned around, I said a nice little prayer of, "Please don't let that be Aubrey's plate", but apparently God has a sense of humor because when I turned around, this is what I found. There was a clear winner and a clear loser. Unfortunately, the loser was me and the winner was Fumble, our dog.

Welcome to my blog!

Ok, so debating the decision, to blog or not to blog, apparently that is the question. The way I look at it, people who are interested can follow, those who are not, won't. I'm also very excited about having a virtual scrapbook of my children, including things they say, which is a lot, and pictures that are special to me. So here goes, welcome to my blog! Enjoy!
